Differences between highway and city driving
Highways involves a straight multiple lane road that turn with least angles. The main purpose of highways is to transport travelers between cities in safe and quick manners. Highways usually gets blocked in the mornings and evenings for the heavy usage. Highway driving needs special training as if you wreck you wreck bad. The driver needs to have sturdy grip on the steering as the high speeds enhances the car responses accordingly. The ease however is, less braking, less gear shifting and less accelerations.
While in a city the driving seems bored for the slow momentums. There is constant stopping and accelerations associated with higher gear shifts. The city traffic burns more fuel than usual. The dense traffic sometimes makes it difficult to get turns. The main thing to succeed city driving is to know your destination and decide your lanes long before intersections for safe maneuvers. There is also a greater chance of hitting someone’s bumper while driving in the city.
